Mt. Everest is famous not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8,848m.) but also for its typical Sherpa Villages and Monasteries that gave birth to many world famous mountaineers. As the pace of the trek is slow, this itinerary has been specially designed for those who wish to savor the magnificent of the Everest region and mix up with the Sherpas with ample time to explore without taking strenuous trail to Base Camp.
It takes three weeks to start the trekking from Jiri and fly back from Lukla & two weeks to & from Lukla. Walking to and from Everest Base Camp takes at least one month to complete the trekking. Many trekkers find the walk to Everest better than the destination itself. The Everest trekking areas offer a visit to the homeland of Sherpas, a chance to get close to the highest mountain in the world, as well as the feeling in one that of surrounded by Peaks. If the day is a Saturday, we can visit the Saturday market (as it is an important social event) where people around the area gather together to buy and sell local agro-products, dresses, carpets and ethnic trinkets. Singing, drinking and of course! Dancing is its specialty.
